The history of the Family Society called JAPG Lda is closely connected to Quinta da Barreira and the Enologist José Gaspar.
The concept that underlies the success developed by JAPG Lda, is related to the rigor and criterion with which its wines are created and are based on three fundamental pillars: specialized human media, selected vineyards and adequate vinification technology.
Based on noble grapes, Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon and the white Chardonnay, Verdelho, Alvarinho and Arinto are the basis of the wines produced by JAPG Lda.
Geographic Insertion
Identified as one of the largest wine regions in the country in terms of area of vineyard and wine production, the area of production of the Lisbon Geographical Indication covers all the counties of the Atlantic strip north of the Tagus estuary, confining the North with the Beira and to the East with Ribatejo.
